Episode 10: The Stone House
History:
The foreboding stone building was 100 years old. It was build originally by a local man for his mistress. It took two years to complete the house, and at that time, he married his mistress and moved in with her. Three months later he died mysteriously, setting the stage for a tragedy of events. During World War I, it became a home for the wives of servicemen while their husbands were away. It seems that the buildings walls were filled with anguish and despair. Then in 1959, it was bought by a religious order. The order held retreats and also had a camp for difficult children. Later the building was leased from the order to the government for offices. Eventually the land and building was bought by a developer who began building upscale homes. Sitting in the middle of the development is the abandoned stone house, but is it empty?
